What to expect

The Fragonard Perfume Museum is located near the Paris Opera House. It is located in a Napoleon III-style mansion. The building completely retains the style of the time, allowing people to enjoy the 300-year history of perfume in classical splendor. The museum records the entire process of the development and evolution of products such as perfumes and essential oils. There is also a mini perfume processing factory, which uses a 19th-century copper distillation filter to demonstrate in detail how to extract essential oils from the original materials. There are also exquisite perfume bottles, sachets, incense burners and perfume waterfalls from the 17th century to the 20th century, showing the extraordinary talents of glass craftsmen, crystal carvers, gold and silversmiths, etc. Maybe apart from the French, people in other countries don't know much about Fragonard perfume, because the brand is only sold in France. However, this long-standing pure handmade perfume brand has the world's first perfume factory, and many brands (such as Chanel, CD, etc.) have commissioned it to make perfume, so some people call it the ashes-level perfume king brand.

I did the mini perfume workshop through the app Get your guide. I would highly recommend the workshop, and museum to anyone visiting Paris. The guide was kind and willing to take questions. She also was very excited about her job and as we all know, an enthusiastic tour guide is one of the best ways to learn something new. 10 out of 10 experience.

I really enjoyed the aesthetic side of the museum, everything is very beautifully and clearly explained as the guide's work is done perfectly! The store also has a nice staff, I bought one perfume for a gift. A slightly unpleasant impression was made by the young man at the reception, is displeasure and does not politely explain the rules of entrance… So absolutely no welcome…

Visited the Musee and attended the perfume workshop. Great value and experience with friends/family. Fragonard was founded in 1926 by a former Parisian notary, Eugène Fuchs, in one of the oldest factories in the city, originally built by perfumer Claude Mottet in 1841. Named after the local painter Jean-Honoré Fragonard the son of the perfumer. The first Parisian boutique was opened in 1936. Today, Anne, Agnès and Françoise are the masters of Maison Fragonard's destiny.

Cute tour and if you want you can book on their official website for the workshop after (it's around €31, tour included). We were able to make a sample of the current season perfume. I love the artifacts around and it is impressive how it's all done but it's all quite fast and you do go through everything quickly.
