About this experience

Green Canyon Pangandaran gets its name from the emerald water that runs through this stretch of the Cijulang River, and the 5 km Short Track is the most accessible way to experience it. Wearing only a life jacket and guided by a professional river guide, you'll swim through narrow canyon walls, drift past moss-covered rock faces and jump from ledges into the clear water below. The whole route takes around 2–3 hours, covering the most scenic and approachable section of the canyon — making it a solid choice if this is your first time body rafting or you're bringing along older children.

This isn't a passive float — you'll be actively swimming and scrambling over rocks for parts of the route, with your guide pointing out the best jump spots and calmer pools along the way. Transport to the starting point near Pangandaran is included, and once you reach the finish line, a boat carries you back rather than requiring another swim.

It's a hands-on way to see a part of West Java's landscape that's otherwise hard to reach, and the short track format keeps the adventure focused without demanding a full day.

What to expect

Your body rafting experience begins with transport to the starting point along the Cijulang River, where you'll be fitted with a life jacket before entering the water under the guidance of a professional river guide. From there, the 5 km short track winds through Green Canyon's narrow rock walls, mixing sections of swimming with short scrambles over rocks and the chance to jump from ledges into pools of clear water below.

The route takes roughly 2–3 hours from start to finish, moving through some of the most scenic and accessible parts of the canyon. Once you reach the finish point, a boat picks you up for the return journey, so there's no swimming back upstream — just time to dry off and take in the canyon scenery one last time from the water.
