<p>The Chiayi City Historical Museum is located on Gongyuan Road, East District, Chiayi City. It was founded in 1943. The Tang-style wooden building is full of Japanese flavor. It was the temple and social affairs office affiliated with the Chiayi Shrine. The temple was a place for fasting and preparation before going to the shrine for worship, and the social affairs office was the administrative office of the shrine.</p>
