Cancellation Policies

Every activity on TixLayer has its own cancellation policy, set by the activity supplier. The cancellation policy is clearly displayed on the activity page and during checkout, so you always know the terms before you book.

Common cancellation types:

  • Free cancellation — Cancel before the stated cutoff time (usually 24-48 hours before the activity) for a full refund
  • Non-refundable — No refund available after booking. This is clearly marked before purchase
  • Partial refund — Some activities offer partial refunds depending on when you cancel

How to Cancel

You can cancel your booking in two ways:

1. Online (recommended)

  • Go to My Bookings on the TixLayer website
  • Find the booking you want to cancel
  • Click "Cancel Booking"
  • Confirm the cancellation
  • You'll receive a cancellation confirmation email

2. Contact support

  • Email support@tixlayer.com with your booking reference
  • Our team will process the cancellation for you

Refund Process

When you cancel a booking that's eligible for a refund:

  • Where: Refunds are processed to your original payment method (the card or payment method you used to book)
  • How long: Refunds typically take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement, depending on your bank
  • Amount: The full booking amount is refunded for free cancellations. For partial refunds, the refundable amount depends on the activity's cancellation policy
  • Service fee: Our service fee is refunded in full for cancellations within the free cancellation window

If the Supplier Cancels

Occasionally, an activity may be cancelled by the supplier due to weather, operational issues, or other circumstances beyond their control. In these cases:

  • You'll receive a full refund automatically
  • We'll notify you by email as soon as we're informed
  • Where possible, we'll help you find an alternative activity

Modifying a Booking

We don't currently support modifying bookings (changing the date, time, or number of guests). To make changes:

  • Cancel the existing booking (if within the free cancellation window)
  • Make a new booking with the updated details
