Eurail passengers only pay the InterCity (IC) train surcharge and any additional charges. Please check our timetable or the Hellenic trains website for more information. InterCity: Athens – Larissa – Thessaloniki Larissa – Thessaloniki Larissa – Volos Athens – Kalambo Suburban railways: Connecting major city centres and suburbs. Valid in Athens, Thessaloniki and Patras. On some trains, bicycles can be checked in as checked baggage. Please check at the train station to see if there are any charges. 2. Greece sightseeing train route Pelion Train The steam train runs from Ano Lehonia to Milies, alongside the spectacular Mount Pelion. The tour lasts 1.5 hours, including a 15-minute break. Cog railway The cog railway from Diakofto to Kalavryta takes you through the beautiful Vouraikos Gorge. The journey lasts approximately 1 hour. 3. International ferry routes from Greece to Italy If your pass is valid in Greece and Italy, you can travel to Italy for free and at a discount on the following ferry routes: Superfast Ferries Patras/Igoumenitsa to Ancona/Bari/Venice Corfu - Bari (summer only) 4.
