Edinburghの石畳の通りの下には、街の恐ろしい歴史を体験できる70分のウォークスルー体験が隠されています。The Edinburgh Dungeonでは、11のライブアクターによるショー、劇場型セット、特殊効果を駆使して、魔女裁判からかつて街を恐怖に陥れた悪名高い犯罪者まで、1,000年にわたるスコットランドの歴史を生き生きと蘇らせます。
単なる展示物を見るのではなく、没入型のシーンを次々と体験していく形式です。1645年に魔女として裁判にかけられたAgnes Finnieと対峙するWitch Prickerの尋問室から始まり、次はSawney Bean一家の悪臭漂う隠れ家へと潜り込み、かつて生還できなかった旅人たちの残骸を目撃することになります。アクターが案内するシーンの合間には、アドレナリンが駆け巡るドロップライドが組み込まれています。
これは単なる博物館ツアーではなく、ジャンプスケア（驚かせ）、ブラックユーモア、そしてキャストによるフルパフォーマンスを主体とした、キャラクター主導の劇場型アトラクションです。Edinburghの歴史の深淵に触れる、最もユニークな体験の一つと言えるでしょう。
体験内容
まずは地下へと降り、いくつかの劇場型セットの最初のエリアへと向かいます。そこでは、ライブアクターが案内役となり、一人で探索するのではなく、シーンごとに導いてくれます。序盤には、1645年に魔女として告発されたAgnes Finnieと対面するWitch Prickerの尋問室に入ります。そこからウォークスルーはよりダークで雰囲気のあるエリアへと進み、16世紀の旅人たちが命を落としたSawney Bean一家の悪臭漂う隠れ家なども巡ります。
70分の体験を通して、11のライブショーが特殊効果や360度のフルセットと融合し、物語が展開していきます。途中、短くも強烈なドロップライドが加わり、劇場型の恐怖に身体的なスリルを与えます。フィナーレでは、様々なキャラクターや物語が集結し、その後、再び日の光の下へと戻ります。

- ジャンプスケアやアクターとの接近があるため、驚きやすい方には適していない場合があります
- ウォークスルーの大部分で、照明が暗く閉鎖的な空間となります
