体験について
Bangkok Elephant Parkは、Bangkokの都心から車で約1時間から1時間半ほどのNong Chok地区の自然豊かな場所に位置しています。乗馬施設や強制労働から救出されたエレファントたちの引退後の安らぎの場として設立され、「乗馬禁止」「芸の披露禁止」という厳格なポリシーを掲げて運営されています。遠くから眺めるだけでなく、ジャングルや広大な放牧地、天然の泥沼など、エレファントたちと同じ場所で過ごすことができます。
プログラムは、いくつかの体験型ステップで構成されています。各エレファントの救出ストーリーや安全な触れ合い方のレクチャーを受けた後は、タイの伝統的なハーブ吸入器（Ya Dom）を作るワークショップを体験します。その後は、フルーツを手から直接あげたり、すりつぶした材料でビタミンボールを作ったり、ジャングルで自由に過ごすエレファントと一緒に散歩をしたりします。ハイライトは、泥パックや川での水浴びです。泥を塗ってあげたり、水の中で体を洗ってあげたりと、エレファントたちをケアする特別な時間を過ごせます。
半日プログラム（午前・午後）と1日パッケージをご用意しており、ホテルへの往復送迎の有無も選択可能です。タオルや着替えも提供されるため、終了後は伝統的なタイ料理のビュッフェランチボックスをお楽しみいただけます。また、施設のカメラマンが撮影した写真も無料でダウンロードできます。
体験内容
一日は、ガイドによる教育的なブリーフィングから始まります。各エレファントの救出ストーリーの紹介や、アジアゾウとアフリカゾウの違いについての説明、そして敬意を持って触れ合うための安全ガイドラインを学びます。その後、少し休憩を挟んで伝統的なタイのハーブ吸入器作りを体験し、フルーツの手渡しやビタミンボール作りといったお世話の時間に移ります。
滞在の残りの時間は屋外で過ごします。エレファントたちが草を食べたり交流したりする姿を見守りながらのジャングル散歩や、泥パック、そして川での水浴び体験などを行います。半日プログラムの所要時間は約6時間で、午前または午後の枠をお選びいただけます（午前の枠の送迎時間は7:00から7:30 AMの間です）。プログラムの最後には、シャワーを浴びて着替えた後、伝統的なタイ料理のビュッフェランチボックスをお楽しみいただけます。

- 泥パックや水浴びセッション用に、汚れても良い水着または服をご持参ください
