この2日間のガイド付きツアーでは、AthensからGreeceで最も印象的な2つの歴史的拠点であるDelphiとMeteoraを訪れます。1日目は、Greekの田園地帯を抜け、Thebes、Levadia、Arachovaを通過して、かつてGreek神話において世界の中心と見なされていたDelphiへと向かいます。ここでは、紀元前4世紀に遡るTemple of Apolloの遺跡や、5,000人を収容する劇場、そしてかつてPythian Gamesが開催されたスタジアムを見学します。
ツアーはその後、Meteoraの岩塔の麓に位置する街、Kalambakaへと向かい、ここで宿泊します。2日目は、9世紀に隠者たちが住み着いた、平均標高1,000フィートの断崖の上に建つMeteoraの修道院を巡ります。かつて存在した20の修道院のうち、現在は6つが残っており、眼下に広がる渓谷の景色を眺めながらこれらを見学します。
Athensへの帰路には、紀元前480年のBattle of Thermopylaeで戦死したSpartanの王、Leonidasを称える記念碑に立ち寄ります。この2日間のガイド付きツアーでは、考古学的な歴史、山岳の景観、そして宗教的な遺産をAthens発の旅程で一度に体験できます。
体験内容
ツアーはAthensを出発し、Thebes、Levadia、Arachovaを通り、正午頃にDelphiに到着します。ここでは古代の遺跡を散策し、Temple of Apollo、劇場、かつてPythian Gamesが開催されたスタジアムを見学した後、Meteoraの岩層の麓にあるKalambakaへと向かい宿泊します。
2日目は、9世紀から修道士や訪問者を魅了してきたMeteoraの断崖の修道院を探索します。岩塔からの景色を楽しんだ後、Athensへの帰路につき、途中でLeonidasの記念碑に短時間立ち寄ります。この充実した2日間の体験では、古代遺跡、山あいの町、そして断崖上の宗教施設を一度に巡ります。
