<p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"> • </span>Shurijo Castle symbolizes the history and culture of Okinawa.</p><p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"> • </span>Shurijo Castle's history is that of the Ryukyu Kingdom itself.</p><p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"> • </span>One of the UNESCO World Heritage.</p><p><br></p><p>Located in Naha, Okinawa, Shurijo Castle was once the site of the capital and palace of the Ryukyuan Kingdom. In those days, the king of Ryukyu was known to handle state affairs, receive envoys, or hold important ceremonies here, and it has now been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. According to historical records, Shurijo Castle was burned down and reconstructed several times, with today's castle a replica of the Chinese Tang dynasty style architecture that remained from the Second World War. The Ryukyu-style castle combines the architectural features of China, Japan and Okinawa. One of the most iconic buildings is the Chinese-style Shureimon Gate, the plaque on which is inscribed with "Nation of Propriety", which was given by the Chinese Emperor when conferring titles to the Ryukyu King.</p><p><br></p><p><img src="https://dimg04.tripcdn.com/images/100l0g0000008ocb5CA37.jpg"></p><p>△ The Shureimon Gate was based on the Chinese roofed “turret” gate style called paifang, with a lower red-tiled roof spanning the full width of the gate surmounted by a higher roof in the center. </p><p><br></p><p><img src="https://youimg1.tripcdn.com/target/fd/tg/g3/M0B/A8/4B/CggYG1XS5RSAZlMmAAPXT1dSRGQ898.jpg"></p><p>△ Kankaimon is the first gate that leads to the inner castle walls of Shurijo, and the name Kankai means “to welcome”.</p><p><br></p><p><img src="https://youimg1.tripcdn.com/target/fd/tg/g3/M0A/A7/CA/CggYGlXS5R2AMq6UAAN6pr9Q3yA118.jpg"></p><p>△ The Seide before it was destroyed by fire</p>

Beau château, malheureusement en rénovation, l'entrée n'est pas cher pour autant ! Le point de vue au sommet est jolie ! Le personnel très accueillant, et certains essaye de parler dans notre langue ! Ce qui est très sympathique ! Je recommande :)

Culturellement très important C’est très joli, Mais le château est en reconstruction actuellement, alors pour les désireux de tout découvrir je ne recommande pas forcément car vous risquez de rester sur votre faim 🇫🇷 🇺🇸 Important for the culture It’s a great place Actually in reconstruction, so for the people who desire to discover everything you may go another time if you have the chance to visit the island again

Dommage que il y ai eu un feu 🔥, par contre de voir les réparations en taille réelle ainsi que le respect du château et de refaire à l'identique de l'époque ça c'était plutôt incroyable à voir. Tout était bien expliqué et il y avait des personnes pour nous guider. On y retournera une fois les travaux fini, le avant après 😊

Bonjour à tous les voyageurs, Si vous passez à Naha , Shuri-jo est le monument à visiter ABSOLUMENT. C'est une véritable concentré de toute l'histoire le l'île depuis les temps de la royauté des Ryukyu à son annexion par le Japon de Meiji. Les allées sont pleines de touristes , néanmoins l'ambiance y est bon enfant. détail amusant , j'ai trouvé la cour principale beaucoup plus petite en vrai que sur les photos :) N'oubliez pas de passer à la boutique de souvenirs en partant , elle recèle d'objets, vêtements et accessoires uniques Enjoy Okinawa

Je ne mets que 3 étoiles car le château était en rénovation et il n’y avait pas grand-chose à voir en dehors des échafaudages. J’aurais aimé être prévenu de ce fait avant de payer l’entrée… Sinon il doit être très beau, j’imagine… De plus, très difficile de trouver de la place pour stationner dans le parking.
