Today, I visited the Taiwan Miso Cultural Museum in Taichung as part of a field trip organized by the International Doctoral Program in Agriculture (IDPA), NCHU (Fall 2025). The visit was very informative, educational, and enjoyable. We participated in a hands-on training session on how traditional Taiwanese Miso prepared step by step. We also explored the museum, which showcases historical practices, various types of equipment, and old machinery that have been preserved since 1945. It was a wonderful learning experience and a memorable visit. Highly recommended for anyone interested in food culture and history.

Such a fun experience making miso soup, our tour guide is very cheerful and fun, she’ll tell you the history of miso, teach you how to make it, you’ll get a free cup of miso soup too. They also sell a lot of product made from soybean, such as paste, soy sauce, snacks, etc. Definitely will come back here with my family!
