Beautiful and well-preserved recreation area. Recommended for birders and people who just need some quietness from the everyday life. Bear in mind that the 252 bus only works on weekends and holidays if you want to get there. Besides that bus, you can book the trip with the buses of 台灣好行 or at least that’s what the Taiwanese who were also there told us!

Daxueshan is a fantastic destination for birders. It is also much calmer and quieter than other developed resort areas like Alishan and Shanlinxi. Driving up the mountain can be a challenge if you aren't experienced.

Worth to visit if you are keen in walking and appreciating birds. Spend at least 2 days/1 night here to try different trails. Btw, highly recommend to bring some snacks and ready to eat food with you. No shops and convenient stores inside of this national park.

Great customer service, everyone at the park is extremely friendly and helpful. The park is clean and well maintained. One of the trails is closed for maintenance so please check before you plan your visit. We stayed at the small wooden cabin, it is also very clean and water is hot. The meal is buffet style. Our family had a wonderful stay!! We will visit again for sure! 👍👍

It's beautiful and very dense forest. Deer, Bears and forest monkey are easily visible there. It is cold place even during summer also. So please carry warm jacket when visited this site. For the Taichung resident, ticket price is only 100 NTD.
