Practical info
This pass is valid for non-Japanese passport holders with a 'Temporary Visitor' entry status; certain Japanese nationals residing abroad may also be eligible. The pass is valid for 5 consecutive days from activation. Up to two children aged 1–5 can travel for free with an adult pass holder if they do not occupy a seat. A child pass is available for ages 4–12.
How to redeem
You will receive a physical Exchange Order by courier to your address within 3–7 days; this is not an e-ticket. You must present this Exchange Order along with your passport at an official JR Exchange Office in Japan within 90 days of its issuance. Once exchanged, you have 30 days to activate your pass and begin your travels.

- To be eligible, ensure you receive a 'Temporary Visitor' stamp at immigration; do not use automated gates.
