About this experience

Spread across 20,000 square metres of land and water, Dubai Crocodile Park is built around a single species: the Nile crocodile, the world's second-largest reptile after the saltwater crocodile. More than 250 of them live here, some reaching up to 5 metres in length, in a setting designed to mimic the African wetlands with a river basin, waterfalls, islands and sandbanks.

Beyond the main crocodile habitat, the park houses a dedicated Crocodile Museum tracing the species' evolution and its survival through the extinction of the dinosaurs, plus a Crocodile Aquarium offering a close-up view of their amphibious behavior from unusual angles. Walkways and multiple viewpoints let you follow the crocodiles as they move between the basin, sandbanks and islands, while shaded, landscaped areas throughout the park give you somewhere to pause along the way.

Educational tours run with experienced guides who cover the biology, history and conservation of the Nile crocodile, adding context to what you're seeing rather than just observing from a distance. It's a self-contained wildlife experience in Dubai that works whether you're after a couple of educational hours or a slower wander through the grounds.

What to expect

Your visit starts at the entrance to the park's main habitat, where walkways trace the edge of the recreated river basin, giving you the first of several viewpoints over the crocodiles, waterfalls, islands and sandbanks. From there, you can move through the grounds at your own pace, stopping at the shaded seating areas or joining an educational tour led by park staff covering the biology and conservation of the Nile crocodile.
