Ka Ka
Dies ist ein anspruchsvoller Platz mit vielen Bunkern. Die Bunker sind groß und tief, sodass es schwierig ist, wieder herauszukommen, wenn man einmal drin ist. Daher ist es entscheidend für ein gutes Ergebnis, sie zu meiden. Die Fairways sind breit und sicher. Der Platz ist flach und zählt somit zu den leichteren Plätzen in Batam. Die Caddies waren freundlich und gaben gute Tipps. Die Portionen beim Essen waren großzügig, wenn auch etwas salzig. Die Golfplatzgebühren sind für Batam jedoch recht günstig. Anscheinend sind Großraumflugzeuge erlaubt, und ich habe eine Gruppe von elf Personen gesehen. Ich bin froh, dass ich ihnen nicht gefolgt bin, aber der Golfplatz sollte Beschränkungen einführen. Die Einrichtungen waren zudem veraltet.

Dies ist Batams beliebtester Golfplatz. Das Personal an der Reservierung, an der Rezeption, den Caddies, in der Umkleidekabine, im Café und im Restaurant ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Für Solo- oder Zweierspieler empfehle ich, vor 7 Uhr morgens abzuschlagen. Nach 8 Uhr ist der Platz voller Gruppen und Gäste, die mit der Fähre aus Singapur anreisen. Ich kann mir vorstellen, dass dies auch für andere Golfplätze in Batam gilt.

Einer der legendären Golfplätze Batams, gelegen in Nongsa, wo sich auch viele der besten Hotels und Resorts der Stadt befinden, ist ein Golfplatz, von dem aus man aus der Ferne einen herrlichen Blick auf das Zentrum von Batam genießen kann.

Früher hieß der Platz Tering Bay und hatte nicht viele gute Bewertungen. Ich habe dort vor Kurzem gespielt, die Namensänderung mitbekommen und gehört, dass er unter neuer Leitung steht. Insgesamt war ich positiv überrascht, wie gut der Platz gepflegt ist. Das Fairway ist ordentlich und die Grüns sind gut. Das Layout ist weitläufig, aber mit seinen vielen Bunkern auch anspruchsvoll. Es gibt auch neuere Buggys gegen eine Gebühr (ich glaube, 100.000 Rupiah pro Person) und ich habe auch ein paar junge Caddies gesehen.

Eher eine Safari als ein Golfplatz. An jedem Loch tummeln sich Affen, Eidechsen und Hühner. Es gibt viele Bunker und es ist etwas windig.
