This ticket takes one traveller all the way from Kyoto to Toyama on a single journey, going beyond Fukui and Kanazawa. You exchange the QR code and your passport for a magnetic paper ticket at a green ticket-vending machine or green window counter, then have a reserved seat issued for your chosen departure. Keep the paper ticket to hand, as it works the automated gates and any onboard inspection.
