You check in with staff at the Sapporo TV Tower meeting point, and the bus leaves on time, so build in a buffer for arrival. Bring cash, a towel for the hot springs at Jozankei Onsen, comfortable shoes and clothing suited to the day's weather, as the worship fee at the Hill of the Buddha hall is paid on site.
