Halong Bay Day Tour

This full-day tour takes you from Hanoi to Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where thousands of limestone islands rise from emerald waters. Located 165 kilometres from Hanoi, the bay is known for its dramatic karst formations topped with rainforests, each sculpted into unique shapes that have inspired dragon legends for centuries.

You'll spend 5 hours cruising through the bay, visiting Surprising Cave to see its colourful rock formations, and experiencing Luon Cave by kayak. The tour also includes a hike to Ti Top Island. Round-trip transfer from Hanoi is included, with the journey following the new highway for a comfortable ride. An English-speaking guide accompanies the group throughout the day.

This tour operates with different drop-off arrangements depending on the day. Monday through Thursday, you'll return to your original pickup point in Hanoi. Friday through Sunday departures drop off at Thang Long Water Puppet Show Theatre due to the weekend Night Market in Hanoi's Old Quarter.

Your day begins with pickup in Hanoi, followed by a transfer along the new highway to Halong Bay. Once you board the boat, you'll spend 5 hours cruising among the thousands of limestone islands that make this UNESCO site famous. The formations rise dramatically from the water, their shapes inspiring the dragon legends that give the bay its cultural significance.

The tour includes a visit to Surprising Cave, where you can walk through chambers filled with colourful rock formations. You'll also kayak through Luon Cave and hike up to Ti Top Island for panoramic views. After cruising back, you'll transfer to Hanoi, with the drop-off point varying by day of the week—your original pickup location Monday through Thursday, or the Water Puppet Theatre on weekends when the Old Quarter hosts its night market.
