That makes it the choice if you want an evening ride or an early start the following day, though you are responsible for keeping the bike somewhere secure overnight — most Oslo hotels have lockable bike storage. Terrain is yours to pick, from the flat city centre to the hillier Bygdøy coastline and the dirt paths of the Oslo forest (marka).

Winter bikes are not available to children aged 12 and below. Customised bike maps, rain ponchos and water can be bought at the Viking Biking shop, where pumps and repair kits can also be hired.
