Racha Island ligt op ongeveer 30 minuten varen per speedboot van de kust van Phuket, en het is de plek die de korte overtocht dubbel en dwars waard is: turquoise water, fijn wit zand dat zelfs op het midden van de dag koel aanvoelt onder je voeten, en koraalriffen die dichtbij genoeg liggen om snorkelend te bereiken.
