💌 함께 미술 공부를 했던 친구들에게 얘들아! 잘 지내고 있어? 우리가 함께 미술을 공부한 게 벌써 20년이 다 되어 가네. 이곳을 방문하니 학원에서 발상 훈련으로 마그리트와 에셔 작품을 모작했던 기억이 새록새록 떠오르더라구. 이곳은 궁전으로 사용했던 곳인데 에셔가 네덜란드 출신이기도 하고, 이 도시 근처에서 생활을 했었던 터라 이곳에서 작품을 상시 전시한다고 하더라구. 끝없이 이어지는 계단, 테셀레이션이라는 기법을 활용한 패턴, 공을 통한 굴절 표현 등 그의 착시 마법은 상상 이상으로 정교하더라. 미술학도에게 엄청난 영감을 줬던 에셔의 작품을 직접 볼 수 있다니 너무 영광스러웠어. 너희들도 네덜란드에 가는 기회가 된다면 꼭 이곳을 방문해 보길 바래. 우리의 즐거웠던 기억을 추억하며, 다들 각자의 위치에서 잘 지내고 건강해야 해! 그립다 얘들아! 에셔 그림에 반해서 문 닫는다고 쫓아낼 때까지 보고 왔습니다. 르네 마그리트만큼이나 천재라는 생각이 들 정도로 기발한 그림이 많아요. 마그리트가 정신분석학과 철학을 그렸다면 에셔는 수학과 건축학을 미술과 융합시켰달까요. 공간 자체도 전시된 그림들만큼 멋집니다.
