더워요 시원한곳을 목적으로는 절대 오지마세요 .낡은 목조 건물로 에어컨시설이 있지만 냉방이 잘되지 않아요. 난파선에서 건진 유물로 이루어진 박물관이라는데 유물좀 있는 개인집 같아요. 더워 그런지 입구에서서 찬물과 캔음료를 주네요

페낭에 처음 방문했는데, 이틀 내내 길거리 음식을 실컷 먹고 나서 우연히 이 박물관을 발견했어요. 정말 강력 추천합니다! 사실 섬에 도착한 첫날에 갔으면 더 좋았을 텐데 하는 생각이 들었어요. 박물관은 아름다운 공간이었고, 전시품들이 세심하게 기획되어 있었어요. 도자기와 유물들을 직접 만지고 체험할 수 있는 아늑한 전시 공간이었죠. 켈빈 씨의 큐레이션과 전시 설명도 정말 좋았어요. 페낭의 역사가 중국과 세계사 속에서 어떤 위치를 차지하는지 알 수 있었거든요. 박물관을 보고 나니 페낭의 거리들이 어떻게 생겨났는지 알게 되어 더욱 아름답게 느껴졌어요! 박물관 티켓으로 바로 옆 카페 할인도 받았는데, 카페도 분위기 좋고 음료도 맛있었어요! 박물관 관람 후에는 요새 근처로 산책을 나가서 페낭의 역사가 시작된 곳이라고 생각되는 해변 산책로에서 시원한 바닷바람을 만끽했어요. 박물관에서 보낸 시간은 정말 알찼고, 제 페낭 여행의 하이라이트였어요. 정말 훌륭합니다! 👏

특색은 있지만 흥미로운 작은 박물관입니다. 이 박물관은 말레이시아 반도 주변에서 침몰한 10여 척의 난파선에서 인양된 도자기들을 통해 말레이시아의 해양 역사를 집중적으로 보여줍니다. 난파선에서 건져낸 도자기들과 같은 시대의, 온전한 상태의 고대 도자기들도 함께 전시되어 있어 오랜 기간 바닷물과 해양 생물막에 노출되었을 때 도자기에 나타난 변화를 보여줍니다. 조금 더 비싼 요금을 내고 가이드 투어를 이용하면 더욱 풍성한 경험을 할 수 있습니다. 입장권에는 차 한 잔과 옆에 있는 카페(별도 리뷰 참조)에서 상품 구매 시 할인 혜택이 포함되어 있습니다.
