Noboribetsu Bear Park

"Noboribetsu BearPark" located in Noboribetsu city, Hokkaido is a zoo which started to pasture "Ezo brown bears" in 1958 for the purpose of the observation, the study and the protection.<br>About 70 "Ezo brown bears" live there freely at present.<br>In the park, there are a plenty of highlights such as a rare museum specializing in the brown bears in the world, an observation deck where you can look out over the beautiful lake and others.<br>"Brown Bear Museum" exhibits about 500 documents relating to the history, the habit and the ecology including stuffing and skeletal specimens of the brown bear.<br>”Yukara Village" stores the precious cultural heritage of the indigenous people "Ainu" and faithfully reproduces lifestyle of the early Meiji period.<br>"The Bear Mountain Dining Hall" has a variety of menus such as Jingisukan of the specialty in Hokkaido.
