The Dubai Museum is housed in Al Fahidi Fort, a famous historical building south of Dubai Creek. It once served as a military fortress tasked with guarding Dubai and was later converted into a museum to showcase the history of the Bedouin ancestors of the Arab people. The museum houses a unique antique merchant house and an antique market on the ground floor, which recreates in vivid detail scenes from the daily lives of the ancient Arabs.
