Elephants eat a lot, and without the logging work, finding enough food for them became a big challenge.</p><br><p>But Mae Pin and her family, who see these elephants as part of their family, did everything they could to get by. After COVID hit, it was even harder-no tourists meant no income. But when things started to bounce back, Mae Pin found a way to turn things around by welcoming tourists to meet her elephants. That’s how Pon Elephant Thailand was born, right in the Mae Wang area, which used to be a hotspot for adventure activities like trekking and bamboo rafting.</p><br><p>Now, Mae Pin and her family are dedicated to giving these gentle giants the best life possible. At Pon Elephant Thailand, you can feed the elephants, bathe with them, and join in on other fun activities—all on a beautiful 30-acre piece of land that the elephants call home. Nous avons passé une journée magnifique. On a eu la chance de voir des bébés éléphants et de les nourrir. Le sanctuaire est très respectueux des animaux ils sont bien traité. Notre guide Paul était super nous avons appris beaucoup sur les éléphants grâce à lui.

Nous avons adoré notre journée auprès des éléphants de notre guide Yaya. Le tout dans un environnement éthique. On a pu voir 4 familles éléphants, Yaya nous a donné énormément d’informations. Nous avons pu mangé en face des éléphants c’était génial et la balade en rando bamboo était très fun. Nous recommandons fortement cette activité.

Quelle expérience magnifique ! Les éléphants sont super bien soignés et toutes les personnes qui travaillent là semblent porter un réel intérêt à leur bien-être. Le transport en van est nickel, on vous donne toutes les explications nécessaires, les guides sont top, je recommande fortement !

Quelle expérience ! On a réservé pour faire le cours de cuisine et ensuite visiter le sanctuaire des éléphants; quel moment magique ! On a eu beaucoup de chance car on était les seuls à réservé ce pack; que demander de plus qu’un cours de cuisine privée ainsi qu’une guide qui nous était presque dédiée. Som, notre guide était d’une gentillesse inégalée. Après nous avoir transmis ces talents de cuisinière, elle nous a présenté tous les éléphants du sanctuaires. C’était vraiment une journée inoubliable!

Soumit est un super guide qui est passionné par son métier. Il est calme, gentil et prend son temps pour expliquer. Très beau moment avec les éléphants mais un peu rapide. Ça faisait un peu à la chaîne car d'autres groupes étaient présents et on sentait qu'il fallait que ça tourne... dommage... Super découverte du temple du Roi et de la Reine. Impressionnante cascade. Forêt est sans plus...
