Visit the Art Zoo Museum in Amsterdam, located in a beautiful 17th-century canal house. Explore the modern interpretation of the traditional “cabinet of curiosities,” filled with art about animals and nature.

Walk among lifelike works by the internationally acclaimed artists Darwin, Sinke & Van Tongeren. Their dramatic taxidermy art creates the feeling of a theatrical scene, feathers shimmer, muscles look tense, and eyes appear almost real.

From large aviaries visitors can see animals presented like classical still lifes, inspired by 17th-century Dutch masters. From colorful birds and snakes to crocodiles and even a T. rex, it feels as if they might come back to life at any moment.
