Penang Wonderfood Museum presents a kitsch, kooky and in-depth look at the city’s unique food culture with larger-than-life displays of Malaysian dishes. Set within a 1940s colonial building in Georgetown, the museum is divided into three galleries - Info Zone, Wow Zone, and Educational Zone. All of the hyper-realistic models are handcrafted by the museum’s owner, Sean Lao who uses Japanese food replication techniques.
The museum features over 100 exhibits of local dishes, ranging from street food to traditional dishes, presented in a realistic and interactive way. The exhibits are arranged in different sections, each showcasing a particular aspect of Penang's food culture. For example, one section displays the ingredients and spices commonly used in Penang cuisine, while another section features the various utensils and equipment used in preparing and serving the dishes.

Sitio divertido para ir con niños y escapar un poco del calor malasio. Entramos sin expectativas y pasamos un buen rato descubriendo cosas sobre la comida en malasia.

Sin duda un sitio super divertido para ver, no es muy caro y si tienes carnet de estudiante solo te cobran 15MYR. Es un buen lugar para iniciarte en la comida malaya, hay muchas expuestas y con su explicación de que es y con que esta echo. Aparte hay algunas cosas para que te disfraces y te hagas una foto. También hay varias zonas para que te fotografíes como por ejemplo , Comida en Blanco y Negro a Todo color o una mesa llena de comida que parece que esta en medio de un terremoto. En la parte de arriba hay muchas mas cosas , platos gigantes, frutas gigantes, caramelos gigantes y para que interactues y te hagas fotos. Luego hay un espacio para concienciar con el hambre en el mundo y uno de STOP aleta de tiburon. Un lugar para divertirse y no pasar calor.

Vale la pena visitar el museo y el personal es realmente servicial. Su sonrisa es muy acogedora. La información de los objetos está bien organizada. La textura de los objetos también es muy realista. Si bien el esfuerzo de los artistas es encomiable, también merece reconocimiento el esfuerzo del equipo actual por mantenerlo. Está bien preparado y mantenido. Disfrutamos mucho del museo y del conocimiento sobre la comida y su recorrido...

Con aire acondicionado, estuve aquí entre 30 minutos y una hora. Un museo divertido y original que disfruté mucho, sobre todo porque me encanta ver exhibiciones de comida. Hay rincones creativos para tomar fotos con versiones gigantes de platos locales y conceptos gastronómicos inusuales, como el tema en blanco y negro, alimentos coloridos e incluso instalaciones antigravedad que hacen que la visita sea divertida y única. Es un buen lugar para tomar fotos con amigos o familiares mientras se aprende sobre la cultura gastronómica de Penang de una manera amena y entretenida. En resumen, es una buena opción si te gusta la comida, las exhibiciones visuales y quieres tomar fotos divertidas para tu viaje.
