Esta excursión guiada de 2 días le llevará desde Atenas a dos de los lugares históricos más impresionantes de Grecia: Delfos y Meteora. El primer día, conducirá a través de la campiña griega, pasando por Thebes, Levadia y Arachova, antes de llegar a Delfos, considerado en la mitología griega como el centro del universo. Aquí podrá ver las ruinas del Templo de Apolo, que datan del siglo IV a.C., junto con un teatro de 5,000 asientos y el estadio que albergó los Juegos Píticos.
El tour continúa hacia Kalambaka, un pueblo situado bajo las torres rocosas de Meteora, donde pasará la noche. El segundo día está dedicado a los monasterios en la cima de los acantilados de Meteora, construidos sobre peñascos que alcanzan una altura media de 1,000 pies y cuyos primeros pobladores fueron monjes ermitaños en el siglo IX. De los 20 monasterios originales, seis permanecen hoy en día, y podrá visitarlos mientras disfruta de las vistas del valle.
En el viaje de regreso a Atenas, la excursión hace una breve parada en el monumento a Leonidas, el rey espartano que murió en la Batalla de las Termópilas en el 480 a.C. A lo largo de los dos días, esta excursión guiada combina historia arqueológica, paisajes montañosos y patrimonio religioso en un solo itinerario desde Atenas.
Qué esperar
El tour comienza con un trayecto fuera de Atenas a través de Thebes, Levadia y Arachova, llegando a Delfos alrededor del mediodía. Aquí caminará por el sitio arqueológico, viendo el Templo de Apolo, el teatro y el estadio donde se celebraban los Juegos Píticos, antes de continuar hacia Kalambaka para pasar la noche bajo las formaciones rocosas de Meteora.
El segundo día se dedica a explorar los monasterios de Meteora, construidos sobre acantilados que han atraído a monjes y visitantes desde el siglo IX. Tras disfrutar de las vistas desde las torres rocosas, el tour se dirige de vuelta hacia Atenas, con una breve parada en el monumento a Leonidas por el camino. La experiencia completa dura dos días y combina tiempo en ruinas antiguas, un pueblo de montaña y sitios religiosos en la cima de los acantilados.
