What to expect
Located on Hubin Road, West Lake Park has a history of more than a thousand years and is a well preserved classical garden in Fuzhou. Lying right next to the river, it is where the elderly go for exercising in the morning. The eight scenic spots in the garden are awe-inspiring for the literati in the past, and many good articles were created because of them. Scenic spots mainly concentrate in Kaihua Island: Provincial Museum, Art Exhibition Hall, West Lake Theater in the north, children's park in the west, and zoo to the southwest.

Quite a spacious lake park with a few islands ringed by round the lake walkway. The willow lined bridge at the main entrance is lovely, leading to the main island with key attractions. The old temple is small but atmospheric. A good mumber of bonsai scatters around its garden. A number of pavilions, false mountains, ponds are well placed throughout this central island. There are boats for hire, including colorful traditional boats at a fee. Need half a day to see; whole days is better to see the museums, panda park. Recommended if you are in Fuzhou.

Free admission. Nice view southern Chinese style and good place to have a relax walk. You may rent a boat and enjoy the time in the lake.

Very beautiful park in Fuzhou. Close to the pandas world attraction and very convenient to get there. Inside you can see several beautiful attractions like the poetry the flowers and the temple. The trees lake and architecture ate very beautiful. If you have a chance you can take the small boat and go around the lake. Usually on holidays it's too crowded need to be patient to get your time. But for sure you'll enjoy .
