Este tour de día completo combina dos de los paisajes más impresionantes de Sicilia: las laderas volcánicas del Etna y el cañón de lava tallado por el río Alcantara. Tras la recogida en los puntos de encuentro en Taormina, Giardini Naxos, Catania o Linguaglossa, viajará en SUV o minivan hasta el frente de lava dejado por la erupción de 2002, que destruyó las instalaciones de esquí de Piano Provenzana y parte del bosque de pinos de Ragabo. Desde allí, una caminata sencilla de 3 km lo llevará desde los 1.665 m hasta una altitud de unos 1.775 m, atravesando abedules hasta llegar a los Cráteres Sartorius, con vistas que se extienden hacia Calabria y las Islas Eolias.
A lo largo del camino, se pondrá un casco y una linterna para explorar la Grotta dei Ladroni, un túnel de flujo de lava parcialmente tallado a mano; una fecha de 1776 está grabada sobre su entrada, lo que marca su uso pasado como cueva de almacenamiento de nieve. Seguirá una parada en un restaurante local del Etna, con un primer plato, agua y café incluidos. El tour continúa a través de Castiglione di Sicilia, uno de los pueblos más bellos de Italia oficialmente reconocidos, en el camino hacia las Gargantas de Alcantara.
En las gargantas, descenderá a través de la entrada municipal, incluida en el precio, para caminar o nadar en las frescas aguas del río Alcantara mientras atraviesa antiguos flujos de lava. Es un contraste ideal con el terreno volcánico de la mañana, y el tour regresa a su punto de encuentro original después. Qué esperar
El día comienza con la recogida en su punto de encuentro en Taormina, Giardini Naxos, Catania o Linguaglossa, seguida de un viaje todoterreno por la ladera norte del Etna hasta el sitio del frente de lava de la erupción de 2002. Desde allí, realizará una caminata sencilla de 3 km a través del Bosque de Ragabo hasta los Cráteres Sartorius, pasando por abedules y cráteres volcánicos laterales antes de descender a la Grotta dei Ladroni, un túnel de lava que explorará con casco y linterna. Seguirá una parada en un restaurante, con un primer plato, agua y café incluidos.
Por la tarde, el tour se dirige hacia el Valle de Alcantara, pasando por Castiglione di Sicilia antes de llegar a las Gargantas de Alcantara. Aquí descenderá al río a través de la entrada municipal, con tiempo libre para caminar o nadar en el cañón de lava antes de regresar a su punto de encuentro original. La experiencia completa combina senderismo, exploración de cuevas y un descanso junto al río, funcionando como un tour compartido o privado en inglés, italiano, francés o alemán.
